This policy is issued by Gunning Enterprises (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2021/919840/07, with its registered office at Ground Floor, Fernwood House, The Oval, 1 Oakdale Road, Newlands, Cape Town, 7700, South Africa. For the purposes of the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA), we are the responsible party for the personal information described here.
What this policy covers
This policy covers this website, gunningent.com, and any correspondence you have with us. Each app we publish has its own privacy policy that explains what that app collects and why. You can find it on the app's App Store page and inside the app. Where an app's privacy policy and this policy differ, the app's policy applies to that app.
This website
This website has no sign-up forms, and we do not set cookies or use analytics or advertising trackers on it. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
When you email us
If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write. We use this only to respond to you and to keep a record of our correspondence. Our email is routed by Cloudflare and stored with Google.
How we use and share information
- We do not sell personal information.
- We share it only with service providers that help us run our business, such as hosting and email providers, and only as far as they need it to provide their service.
- We may disclose information where the law requires us to.
Transfers outside South Africa
Some of our service providers process information outside South Africa. We use providers that are bound by data protection laws or agreements giving a level of protection comparable to POPIA.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or as long as the law requires.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask us to:
- confirm whether we hold personal information about you and give you access to it;
- correct or delete information that is inaccurate, out of date or no longer needed;
- stop processing your information, where the law allows you to object.
To make a request, email privacy@gunningent.com. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your request, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
Children
This website is not aimed at children. Where an app is suitable for children, its own privacy policy explains how it handles their information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
